Useful Tips
Making Backups
This is as easy as copying the file with the .mmg extension and placing it somewhere secure. Ideally on a different computer.
Checking entries for an Appeal
Use the export button on the Appeal Summary screen to produce a comma separated file that can be loaded into a spreadsheet. Using the spreadsheet you can apply formulae to sum the rows and columns or otherwise manipulate the numbers.
Recurring Gifts
Use a Donor Reference to set up a series of payments to an Appeal.
You can then use the "Skip" button to skip a normal donation and the next donation is automatically increased.
To raise or lower by the regular amount use the up and down arrow keys when on the amount or the up and down triangles between the "Skip" and "Add" buttons.
Sponsored Events
The Donor Reference can also be used to mark Gifts as a result of sponsorship see Sponsored Event
Closing Tabs
To add a close button on each tab use the "Tools" menu option.
File Getting Too Big
Take a backup first
You can find older Gifts using the Find Old Gifts button.
